Information you submit to ACER will be provided securely, together with your STAT test results, to the Australian Tertiary Admissions Centres for applicants to Australian universities or directly to universities outside Australia.
ACER will not disclose the personal information of test takers to any additional third parties.
Test takers indicate their agreement with a statement acknowledging that their test results may be used by relevant authorities for research into the STAT program. You are assured that any use of your registration and test session records will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Names will be separated from data in any research undertaken.

If you choose to sit the test by remote proctoring you will need to provide your Personal Information to a third party, ProctorU (ACER’s current provider of remote proctoring). ProctorU is a company based in the United States. Personal Information you provide to ProctorU will be stored outside of Australia and the UK. ACER discloses your de-identified STAT responses to its current contracted plagiarism review contractor, TURNITIN, LLC, a Californian limited liability company which is based in the USA. It processes STAT test taker responses in the USA to ascertain instances of plagiarism. You may view its privacy policy HERE this privacy statement will be amended in the event the supplier changes.
ACER will not accept any responsibility or liability to any test taker in respect of the STAT, or test results, loss or damage arising from participation in the STAT.
