Refunds and deferrals
This information applies only to ACER-managed test sittings.
(Monies paid for preparation materials included with the STAT registration will not be refunded.)
Test centre sittings
Test Centre sittings cannot be deferred or transferred. You cannot, under any circumstances, carry credit from missed test sittings forward to pay for subsequent test sittings.
STAT test registrations may be cancelled and refunds requested up until close of bookings for your selected test date. This will incur an administration fee of $35.00. To submit a refund request:
- login to your ACER User Account,
- click on the purple 'Manage test booking' button and
- then click on the blue 'Request a refund' button.
The fee will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment within 2 weeks of your request submission.
Please note, candidates cannot request refunds once they accept accommodations applied for through the Reasonable Test Adjustments application process.
If you are seriously ill on the test day and cannot attend the test, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org within one week of the test date with your full name, STAT ID, payment reference number and reason for missing the test. Requests must be supported by a medical certificate. An administration fee of $35.00 will be incurred. The fee will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment.
You can reschedule test sessions within a test window directly with the remote proctoring company up until 72 hours prior to the end of the test window. After this point, no more changes can be made.
It is not possible to reschedule online session(s) from one STAT test window to a subsequent STAT test window. You cannot, under any circumstances, carry credit from missed test sittings forward to pay for subsequent test sittings. You will forfeit your registration and payment if you do not complete your test sitting(s) during the test window you registered for. For this reason, you are strongly advised to complete all of the necessary equipment checks, and to allow enough time for rescheduling your test session within the test window (if necessary) due to genuine misadventure or unforeseeable technical problems.
If your circumstances change and you decide not to proceed with your test, please contact the STAT Office by email to cancel your booking. Requests must be submitted in writing to email@example.com and must contain your full name, STAT ID, payment reference number and reason for refund. Refunds will be permitted up until 24 hours prior to your scheduled test session, less an administration fee of $50.00. The fee will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment.
If you are sick or experience technical difficulties during your scheduled test session(s) and there is no further time during the test window to reschedule your test(s), contact the STAT Office.
